Liaison’s cloud-based EMR-Link™ solution integrates lab orders and results
with Answers™ Clinical EHR Solution for long term care and senior health facilities
ATLANTA — April 23, 2014 — Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today their partnership with AOD Software, the leading integrated software solution for long-term care providers, to connect AOD customers to more than 120 labs and imaging vendors already integrated within the Liaison EMR-Link™ hub. The combined solution has been thoroughly tested at customer sites over the past two years and is now ready for rollout across AOD’s user base.
As the first fully certified EHR (electronic health record) system in long-term care, Answers™ Clinical EHR Solution from AOD Software connects staff, residents, and management in senior health care, continuing care, retirement, assisted living, and skilled nursing care facilities with up-to-the-moment health information. Now, with Liaison’s EMR-Link™ solution, these capabilities include the ability to enter lab and imaging orders and review results seamlessly from within EHR workflows.
“Our providers are pleased by how much smoother and easier the orders and results workflow is now. All of our multi-disciplinary staff has access to information in real time. Less time on paperwork, means more time caring for residents,” said Kristen Cuenca, Clinical IT Nurse Specialist, from Fellowship Manor of Whitehall, PA, one of the facilities using the combined Liaison/AOD solution.
“As we looked for a high-quality lab integration solution to complement our Answers EHR platform, especially one that would benefit our customers with greater operational efficiencies and help reduce costs, Liaison’s EMR-Link solutions rose above the rest,” says Doc DeVore, director of clinical informatics and industry relations for AOD. “Liaison’s solutions not only provide an industry-leading lab hub connection, but a clinician-friendly platform.”
EMR-Link goes beyond traditional lab/diagnostic imaging interfaces by optimizing clinical workflows to require almost no additional effort to automatically route clean and complete orders to multiple labs and diagnostic imaging services from within the Answers EHR. This virtually eliminates order entry and chart matching errors, saving time and money for both long-term care facilities and the lab vendors they work with and helping Answers EHR users deliver faster, more accurate care to long-term care patients and residents.
