Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today that its Master Person Index (MPI) and Patient Document Repository (PDR) offerings have successfully completed interoperability testing with more than 70 test partners during the 2014 IHE North American (NA) Connectathon  held  in Chicago, Jan. 27-31.

“What we learn during Connectathon enables us to build even better quality into our products, as well as quickly identifying any barriers that might exist in meeting IHE standards for interoperability,” said Naveen Sarabu, Director of Product Management at Liaison Healthcare. “As a result of the testing and validation, Liaison Healthcare’s standards-based systems and solutions will enable healthcare provider organizations to improve patient safety and quality, and meet the needs of value-based healthcare,” he added.

Liaison Healthcare’s Master Person Index (MPI) provides a cloud-based low-cost data indexing solution that resolves record duplication through proper data integration, aggregation, cleansing and normalization of patient and provider data.  Liaison’s Patient Document Repository (PDR) provides real-time access to a document registry and repository within a flexible, scalable, and secure cloud-based architecture.  These two solutions are part of Liaison’s Healthcare Information as a Service (HIaaS) portfolio which won multiple Golden Bridge Innovation Awards in 2013.

IHE Connectathon is a cross-vendor, live, supervised, and structured testing event with more than 100 participating vendors and 600+ engineers and IT architects. Participants test their products against multiple vendors using real-world clinical scenarios contained in IHE's Integration Profiles.

As a result of the testing and validation process, Liaison Healthcare is recognized as a provider of standards-based systems and solutions that enable better connectivity between clinicians, patients and families for more seamless and transparent patient care.
