: Lone Peak completes 13 episodes of "1000cc Raw Thrill"
(Salt Lake City, Utah--July 3, 2009) Lone Peak Productions, a Salt Lake City based video production company, announced they have finished post-production of 13 episodes of, "1000cc Raw Thrill" a motorcycle show that is the brainchild of Executive Producer, James Brown of Salt Lake Studios.
The half-hour program covers the sport bike lifestyle in a way never quite seen before with a blend of interviews from racers, top industry experts, tech tips, and spotlights on the latest gear. The show is currently being distributed nationally on cable by America One, MavTV and AMGTV reaching over 65 million households.
The show is co-hosted by two big names in the industry, Greg White and Erin Bates, both of whom gained wide acclaim for their work on the Speed channel. Special guests like world racing champs Max Biaggi and Ben Spies and Leslie Porterfield, the world’s fastest woman on a motorcycle, are among the high profile guests who have appeared on the show.
The studio portion, co-directed by Lone Peak Productions, was shot in a compressed schedule using three Sony XDCAM cameras recording to memory in a custom designed set at Salt Lake Studios. Lone Peak then assembled the footage, sometimes using three HD equipped edit bays simultaneously, into multiple episodes in record time. “We had a limited timeframe to cut each episode and still wanted to maintain a high standard of quality. Luckily the workflow we developed during five years of producing Hot Homes of Utah (a real estate TV show that aired on the local ABC affiliate) really compressed our post-production schedule. It’s a great show for anyone interested in sport bikes, check it out, it speaks for itself!” said Paul Furner, the main editor on "1000cc Raw Thrill".
was also responsible for creating a unique show graphics package. The show opens with great sport bike footage, superb graphics and high-energy music that grabs the viewer’s attention. “The challenge was to incorporate existing SD and HD footage in the same open. Because of the differences in size, I came up with the idea of multiple video footage playing simultaneously in multiple windows. This not only solved the challenge we were given, but also created a high-energy unique look and feel,” said Stephen Smith, who created the graphics package.
The result is a show that is truly unique for the subject matter. While most programming geared towards sport bike enthusiasts focuses on the “two Bs,” bikes and babes, 1000cc Raw Thrill has that and more. It’s both entertaining and informative thanks to its innovative format created by James Brown, and some innovative post-production from Lone Peak Productions. If you don’t live in one of the lucky 65 million households where the show is currently available, you can watch the first episode for
right now on their web site!
