Pre-Conference Volunteer Event On August 10, 2014, the LPL Financial Foundation hosted a pre-conference volunteer event to support The Preuss School UCSD, a unique middle and high school for low-income, highly motivated students who strive to become the first in their families to graduate from college. More than 100 LPL Financial advisors were joined by LPL Financial Foundation board members, executive leaders and employee volunteers to assemble 1,000 school supply kits, which were equipped with the tools these students need to be successful from the start.
"As a mentor to a current student at The Preuss School, I've had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the great work their staff does to create a supportive academic environment for students from underserved communities in the San Diego area.
