Lulu Guinness and Comet launch limited edition toaster

World renowned accessory designer Lulu Guinness, OBE and electrical specialist Comet have teamed up to create a limited edition Lulu Guinness toaster to add a touch of glamour to one of the most quintessentially British gadgets. The Autumn/Winter 2009 collaboration features one of Lulu’s iconic lip designs on the toaster, with red and cream lips on a black background.

Inspired by 1950’s glamour and the classic shade of red lipstick seen in old Hollywood movies, the most famous Lulu Guinness design is the iconic Lips Clutch carried by celebrities from Katy Perry to Sophie Ellis Bextor and Lauren Laverne. Now on this unique toaster, the lips design will make a statement in any kitchen and appeal to fashionistas all over the UK.

With Lulu Guinness celebrating 20 years of iconic British design in 2009, she was the ideal choice to partner with Comet and give one of nation’s most-used gadgets a makeover in its 90th year.
