Ma Passion launches Miniature paintings in true Pichvvai Style at the Cymroza Art Gallery

Ma Passion welcomes you to the world of Miniature Art where the artistic genealogies of the painters are traced back to the guilds of the Mughals and Rajputs. Here paints are handmade from vegetable, gemstone extracts and 22 carat gold resulting in masterpieces that are created on Valsi (thin sheets of handmade paper) using single strand Squirrel hair brushes.The exhibition will be open from 2nd December to 14th December .

Art is a growing revolution in India, but it no longer is confined to the art galleries. With increased number of high networth individuals exploring art as a lucrative investment, as well as designing their interior decor around a painting, art has come a long way. With the Indian Art Industry, including the auction houses and registered art galleries, is valued at approximately Rs. 500 crore, of which Miniature Paintings constitute about 5% of this value.

So far they have been relegated to international audiences and art aficionados, but now thanks to the effort of patrons like Mr. Dinesh Poddar, (MD, Ma Passion), this art form is now making hitting the mainstream media through larger canvasses and novel interpretations.
