Portland, Maine June 8, 2014. (PressReleasePoint) - Podcast and digital media publisher Maine Digital Press has announced the latest addition to their program lineup: The Content Marketing Brief. It will take the form of a weekly podcast hosted by David Zwickerhill and Trent Gay. Zwickerhill is a six year veteran of the web marketing industry and Gay is a regular podcast personality and co-owner of Maine Digital Press. The show will range from a half hour to one hour long episodes and will feature recaps of recent content marketing news and commentary.

Content marketing is considered a new discipline and has evolved quickly as traditional search engine optimization techniques have been rendered ineffective by better algorithms from Google. It has driven the mantra “content is king,” and the need for consistent and quality content to bolster search engine rankings, attract new customers, and add value for existing customers and prospects. “Content marketing is pushing web marketers towards traditional marketing rather than old SEO techniques that were meant to game the system. It is the driving force behind brands becoming online publishers and it is forcing us (marketers) to reevaluate our strategies and become thought leaders in our respective niches,” says Zwickerhill who has worked as an in-house marketer and for marketing agencies during his career.

"Working with Dave has been a lot of fun, he's clearly an expert in his field and I look forward to learning along with the audience,” says Gay who hosts several podcasts and contributes his everyman perspective to The Content Marketing Brief. The show aims to be accessible to both industry insiders and small business owners that are seeking a resource for online marketing.

The Content Marketing Brief will be published weekly, is streaming online at http://www.contentmarketingbrief.com, and will soon be found in the iTunes store.
