CENTURY CITY, CA (August 17, 2009)–The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles (MAWLA) today announced that, following the successful creation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Season of Wishes™, 2005 - 2008 campaigns, it has once again retained The Pollack PR Marketing Group (PPMG), a 24-year-old multi-specialty public relations and marketing agency, for a fifth year, to build upon and leverage the excitement and spirit of the holiday season, onto the region-wide campaign titled Season of Wishes™, 2009.

“The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded on the idea of making wishes a reality for all children with life-threatening medical conditions who qualify for a wish. The Foundation has an impressive, heartfelt commitment to ensuring the success of its mission,” said PPMG Founder and CEO Noemi Pollack. “We are delighted to once again have a key role in shaping the 2009 Season of Wishes™ and feel deeply privileged to call attention to the powerful emotions that the granted wishes evoke.”

In its fifth year, the campaign will once again aim to raise the regional visibility and awareness of the Make-A-Wish brand and, in the process, expand current marketing and fundraising relationships while initiating new partnerships. The ultimate goal will be to expand the effort and reach further inside the surrounding communities to ensure the Foundation maintains the ability to fulfill wishes for every eligible child.

As part of the Season of Wishes™ activities, PPMG will continue the campaign’s “Circle of Wishes” community council made up of community stakeholders, as well as continue to build upon and create new avenues for expanded media partnerships. Additionally, PPMG will again support region-wide promotional partnerships, as well as orchestrate a kick-off of “Season of Wishes.” The agency will also work closely with campaign partner, The Grove during the holiday season, including Make-A-Wish Foundation’s role as a charity partner during the 2009 season.
