Malaysian DJ Trio Stylustix will preform at Velassaru Maldives on Oct 8th. MC for the night is famed Joe Flizzow, an award-winning Malaysian artist. The event is to promote the arts and Malaysian artists in the Maldives.

Maldives, September 11, 2010 -- For Immediate Release: Velassaru Maldives puts a dynamic spin to the first of its kind poolside experience on 08th October 2010, by pairing up with STYLUSTIKS. STYLUSTIKS is an innovative combination of three world class scratch DJs creating a new evolution in sound.

Revolutionary DJs and veteran Malaysian and Indonesian turntablist Fuzz, Cza, and Uno transform their turntables into non-traditional instruments utilizing selected records to produce a musical soundscape of melodies, percussion and tone that is unbelievable. To add in more vibrancy to the scene, Joe Flizzow an award winning hip hop artiste will hype up the crowd by joining in as an MC for the DJs.

Velassaru Maldives will blend into a misty white ambience to transform the stylish FEN bar into a hip hop hot spot. Guests are encouraged to mingle by the pool side, surrounded by large bean bags, pillows and pool chairs while listening to music that ranges from expansive experimental jazz, hip hop to explosive funk romps for the dance floor.

Individually, DJs Fuzz, Cza and Uno have competed and won several awards in nationwide DJ championships. This new band represents an evolution in live music and can be seen performing at Malaysia's top music award shows. Finalist for the Vestax Extravaganza 2003 and 2004 competitions and a sessionist for the production of DJ Fuzz's Mixology project, Indonesian original DJ Cza is the official DJ for 105 KSS FM, Medan's premiere hip hop radio station. A member of the award winning top Malaysian hip hop group from Singapore, Ahlifiqir, DJ Cza also incorporates scratching with an ethnic touch, producing nusantara sounds in the Malay language within Ahlifiqir’s album showcasing ethnicity using the art of turntablism.

Malaysian born DJ Fuzz runs his own DJ academy, Mixology DJ Academy, in Kuala Lumpur and is currently moving into production. Fuzz's Mixology, the first official Malaysian Mix tape, featuring tracks from worldwide hip hop artistes, Cesar Comanche and Encore from the States, Sinnikal from the UK, Koko DMV and Bonafide from Singapore, Soulid of Indonesia and a veritable who's who of independent Malaysian talent. Finalist for the Malaysian Turntablist Extravaganza for every year since 2001, DJ Uno is an active member of one of the best local rap rock band, POP SHUVIT. Their debut album 'Take it and Shuvit" shot them to fame in the early 2000 and success came rolling in thereafter with other albums and launched and by opening for My Chemical Romance, Tokio Hotel and most recently at the world’s first Youth Olympics held in Singapore. Having toured Japan, Australia and the U.S, DJ Uno seems set to spread his talent to the rest of the world. He spins regularly for private parties and clubs alongside DJ Fuzz. Apart of DJ’ing, DJ Uno is climbing the music ladder as a producer and one of the most in-demand sessionist in the local music scene.

Joe Flizzow, one half of the internationally renowned Malaysian hip hop duo, Too Phat, is literally the most successful hip hop act to ever emerge from Malaysia. With sales of over half a million records sold to date, the duo’s multi-platinum albums have won numerous awards locally as well as achieving recognition from MTV Asia and Channel V. As an individual Joe Flizzow is a talented writer, lyricist and producer and was recently featured in Prestige magazine’s Top 40 under 40 and has also won August Man magazine, Man of the Year Award, 2009 (Music).
