mamemo wins appointment to manage the first commencement of the Middle East region's pioneering graduate institution

Continuing its partnership with mamemo productions, Masdar recently appointed the events management & brand communications company to manage Masdar Institute’s very first students’ commencement, which will be held on June 5, 2011 at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.

The Masdar Institute is a graduate-level, research-driven university focused on generating advanced energy and sustainable technologies, with the ongoing support and cooperation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

For its inaugural commencement, Sam Katiela, mamemo productions’ managing & creative director and his team have worked closely and supported Masdar Institute team in designing an event concept with the following elements::
• Main auditorium stage concept
o Themed stage design with integrated screen concept featuring the latest in visual projection technology
• Full conceptualization and production of 2 image films featuring multiple locations, professional cast, and interviews of selected students and their families:
o Masdar Institute image film
o Masdar Institute student’s life documentary
• Stage management of the whole ceremony
• Top of the line digital audio, lighting, and visual support
• Total branding concept
• Protocol management
• Documentation in full HD

This appointment continues the established partnership between mamemo productions and Masdar, which includes the Zayed Future Energy Prize 2009 & 2011, the first Masdar Exhibition during WFES 2008, Masdar Preview Stand for the Official Visit of Former US President George W. Bush, Masdar City Groundbreaking Event, Masdar Stand at GETEX 2008, Official Visit of US Department of Energy Secretary Dr. Steven Chu, Official Tour of Masdar by German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, and the Masdar Institute Campus Inauguration at Masdar City. mamemo was also one of the appointed agencies to support the World Future Energy Summit 2009-2011, which was hosted by Masdar.
