Mamemo productions makes history at TEDxRamallah

mamemo productions successfully supports groundbreaking conference that drew thousands of live, satellite and online audiences.

On the 16th of April 2011, mamemo productions successfully co-organized the very first TEDxRamallah conference at the Convention Palace, Bethlehem. This historical event drew a live audience of more than 2000 in its parallel satellite events in Bethlehem, Amman, and Beirut.

TEDxRamallah has drawn some of the leading thinkers and innovators from Palestine and around the world sharing their inspiring ideas with the rest of the world. The speakers included lawyer and author Raja Shejadeh, award winning architect Suad Amiry, filmmaker Julia Bacha, Pulitzer Prize Winning author Alice Walker, energy entrepreneur Khaled Sabawi, and director of New Business Development at Google for Latin America and the Asia Pacific Region Gisel Kordestani.

mamemo productions’ Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela was also featured in the conference with his Animated Opening Speech.

In addition to the live audiences, TEDxRamallah was live streamed to many cities worldwide, drawing a significant number of audiences through organized online satellite sessions and individual households. Additionally, TEDxramallah was recognized as the third most discussed and used key word on Twitter globally during the duration of the conference.
