News Source : On March 25, 2010 the UNFCCC has issued 29,940 CERs to Ormat's Amatitlan Geothermal Project in Guatemala. This amount corresponds to 100% of the CERs requested for the period between December 12, 2008 and April 30, 2009. The Project has been officially registered as a Clean Development Mechanism ("CDM") on December 12, 2008, as Guatemala's first CDM project. The 20 MW Project is expected to generate approximately 83,000 CERs annually.
