Two Blues Greats, The Hangover, Valentine’s Day and Cop Out Among Recent Projects @ The Hollywood Mastering Facility

Grammy Award winning blues artist Keb’ Mo’ a/k/a/ Kevin Moore has been busy. Between starting his own label, Yolabelle Records, and near constant touring Kevin found time to finish not only an album for himself, the aptly titled Live and Mo, he also managed to find the time to co-produce an album with Jeff Paris for acclaimed blues guitarist Coco Montoya. Coco’s new release I Want It All Back on Ruf Records features an all-star backing group including Reggie McBride and Steve Ferrone along with Moore and Paris. Both releases were mastered by Stephen Marsh at his Hollywood Mastering Facility.

Soundtrack and Score albums recently completed by Marsh at the facility include for The Hangover (Soundtrack and Christophe Beck Score album), Valentine’s Day (Soundtrack and John Debney Score album) an album for the Harold Faltermeyer scored film Cop Out and th Carter Burwell produced Score album for the film The Blind Side.

The indie dance rock trio Pop Noir has been busy since the self-release of their debut single DIY. Their hard work has garnered cross country radio airplay and their DIY music video is in regular rotation on mtvU and in Foot Locker stores. Engineer Stephanie Villa handled mastering on the release for Fantastic Heat Records.

Following a 6 year hiatus, analog synth composer Jason Amm return to see Villa for work on his much anticipated new album as Solvent, Subject To Shift drops May 25th on Ghostly International. May also brings a sophomore album for young indie band The Morning Of, produced by Jim Wirt for Tragic Hero Records and also mastered by Villa.
