Newly-launched motor specialist Hawkwell has joined Marsh’s Networks provider panel, giving its member brokers exclusive access to Hawkwell’s private car and commercial vehicle insurance products.

Brokers working with Marsh Labyrinth can apply for Hawkwell’s Private Car and Commercial Vehicle agencies, enabling them to compete in the motor market on both price and overall policy benefits. Both products are backed by Hawkwell’s non-recourse premium finance facility.

Martyn Denney, Head of Marsh Networks, said: “I’m very pleased that we are once again able to support our brokers’ businesses through exclusive access to highly competitive products. Hawkwell is the first new motor provider to enter the market for some time, and their willingness to work with us on an exclusive basis is testament to our ability to deliver value for both our providers and our brokers.”

Hawkwell’s private car insurance is available to drivers over 21 with selected occupations, in particular those working in the graduate professions, executive roles and professional services. Features include:

  • Reduced excess when a claim is reported to Hawkwell within 24 hours.
  • Guaranteed courtesy car while the owner’s vehicle is undergoing repairs.
  • Maximum one year no claims bonus step-back after any claim.
  • Unlimited windscreen cover included as standard if repaired or replaced at an approved repairer.

Hawkwell’s commercial vehicle insurance provides comprehensive motor cover for commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes for drivers aged over 25. Social, domestic and pleasure use is available and convicted drivers are considered. Features include:

  • Reduced excess when a claim is reported to Hawkwell within 24 hours.
  • Unlimited windscreen cover included as standard when repaired or replaced by an approved supplier.
  • Non-standard risks considered.

Both products are available through the TGSL, Open GI and CDL trading platforms, enabling brokers to quote and buy instantly. A bespoke underwriting facility is available to deal with risks that do not fit the online quote system.

Tony Smith, CEO of Hawkwell, commented: “Marsh has been involved with the project from the beginning and we look forward to working with them in growing and making the business a success.
