New York, NY(June 17, 2009) - Investment services firm Mentor Partners, which has been based at 500 Park since 1994, has renewed its 11,576-square-foot lease on the sixth floor of the 11-story boutique office building.

International commercial real estate services firm Studley’s Senior Managing Directors Craig Lemle and Greg Taubin represented Mentor in the transaction.  The Studley brokers advised Mentor Partners on its original lease from 499 Park Avenue to 500 Park Avenue 15 years ago.

“The company was very focused on remaining in the Plaza District,” commented Mr. Lemle.   “Though the market was already softening last April when we took the assignment, the landlord community hadn’t conceded to the imminent downturn.”

“We created the necessary leverage in the marketplace,” added Mr. Taubin, “to bring the landlord to a fair market rental rate that enabled Mentor Partners to stay-put at 500 Park Avenue.

Other tenants in the 202,340-square-foot property at East 59th Street include Caxton Associates and Sandelman Partners LP.

David Kleiner and Frank Doyle of Jones Lang LaSalle represented landlord Morgan Stanley in the transaction.
