and an accelerating demand from point of sale (POS) developers to integrate with Genius.

The partner channel team grew by more than 60 percent, adding strategic new hires like Marc Pepe as senior sales engineer, and John Pleau as new business development director. Pepe joins Merchant Warehouse from PayPal, where he oversaw pre-sales solutions and integrations for the company’s retail POS system and commerce platform. Pepe brings additional experience from Ingenico, where he was instrumental in growing channel sales tenfold over a five-year period. Pepe’s unique background in both mobile payments and POS integrations will add substantial expertise to Merchant Warehouse’s engineering team. Pleau’s experience includes managing integrations at Equinox Payments with retail and healthcare software developers. At Merchant Warehouse, Pleau recruits leading POS developers to the company’s partner network and works closely with key retail accounts.
To ensure the Genius platform continues to offer POS developers unmatchable value, Merchant Warehouse also expanded its team of software developers. The company now employs a full-time technology and product team of nearly 100 across its Boston and Belfast offices to drive the continued evolution of Genius. These employees spearhead the development of Genius platform enhancements, including recently announced Signature On-Demand, Line Item Display, and On-Screen Advertising functionalities.
