Michael Hickey Joins First Republic Private Wealth Management

Fixed-Income Investment Professional Named Managing Director

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 9, 2010 – First Republic Bank, a leading provider of private banking and wealth management services, today announced that Michael Hickey, a senior fixed-income portfolio manager, has joined First Republic Private Wealth Management.

First Republic's private wealth management services include trust, investment and brokerage solutions. First Republic works with high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments, non-profits, and institutions.

Hickey was named Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for First Republic Investment Management, which offers customized equity and fixed-income investment management. Customized client portfolios utilize both traditional portfolio management and may employ carefully screened outside managers for equity, fixed-income, and alternative investments.

Prior to joining First Republic, Hickey worked for Citigroup for 15 years, most recently as Director and Senior Portfolio Manager in its fixed-income division. At Citigroup, Hickey was responsible for taxable and tax-exempt assets. Hickey earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from Baruch College. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York at Albany. Hickey holds a FINRA Series 7 license.

Hickey is located in San Francisco at 111 Pine Street.
