Michael Piker has joined Mercer to focus on the firm’s international human capital consulting capabilities.

“In this role, Michael will be responsible for further strengthening Mercer’s international consulting capabilities and bringing together key consulting areas of human capital strategy, rewards and talent management to serve our global and multinational clients,” said Pat Milligan, president of Mercer’s Human Capital business. “Our clients are operating in an increasingly competitive and complex global environment where they need to establish a comprehensive approach to one of the most important factors in success, the effective use of their people. Mike brings a wealth of experience to this newly created position, joining Mercer after 20 successful years in HR consulting and corporate human resources.”

Prior to joining Mercer, from 2005 to 2010 Mr. Piker was with Syngenta in Switzerland and Brazil, most recently as the head of global rewards and head of Latin America HR. His other corporate HR experience includes Alcoa and Cisco Systems. As an HR consultant he has worked for Buck Consultants and ORC Worldwide. He has lived and worked in eight countries and is fluent in Japanese. He graduated from Dickinson College and Kansai Gaidai Global University and completed an HR certificate at IMD.
