Singapore – March 14, 2014: Around 11:00am, a minor fire occurred at a building at REC Solar ASA’s (REC) manufacturing facilities at Tuas in Singapore. The Company’s Emergency Response Team was deployed immediately. The fire brigade, SCDF, was also notified and responded to the situation.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

All employees and people onsite were safely evacuated. There were no injuries.

The minor fire was located in a general exhaust duct on the roof of one of REC’s buildings.

REC’s production equipment was unaffected.

We are thankful that this situation was quickly contained and greatly appreciate the quick actions of SCDF. We are continuing to work with them to determine the cause.
