M*Modal and Merge Healthcare Bring Speech Understanding to Imaging Solutions for Improved Workflow and Reporting

Franklin, Tenn. – February 27, 2013 – M*Modal, a leading provider of clinical documentation services and Speech Understanding™ solutions, today announced it has expanded its strategic relationship with imaging leader Merge Healthcare (NASD: MRGE) to an extensive reseller partnership.  This brings a unique combination of the M*Modal Fluency™ and M*Modal Catalyst™ technology platforms to Merge’s imaging customers, delivering cloud-based speech recognition, real-time business intelligence, structured multimedia reporting and workflow management for fast and accurate diagnostic interpretations.

As part of this reseller agreement, Merge will bundle M*Modal Fluency for Imaging and M*Modal Catalyst for Radiology with its Merge PACS portfolio of imaging and radiology products to give clients greater flexibility and simplicity in deploying picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).  Merge and M*Modal currently deliver these integrated solutions to a number of imaging customers.
