Dollar volume of unit closings reaches more than $45 million in initial three weeks at One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – One Thousand Ocean, the landmark Atlantic Ocean-to-Intracoastal condominium situated on a private peninsula in Boca Raton, reports unit closings totaling more than $45 million between the period of February 22 and March 12, 2010. The newly completed, seven-story “boutique” building, which is on the grounds of the Boca Raton Resort & Club, is currently 65% sold.

“Our purchasers are eager to move in, and now that many of them have become official ‘residents,’ the building is alive with activity,” said Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts.

Recapping the sales history at One Thousand Ocean, Telchin said the project has consistently been a leader in new condominium sales in the South Florida market since its inception in 2006, when it was only a dream on the drawing board.

“As the building has approached completion, we have experienced a surge in traffic and additional sales transactions,” Telchin noted. The official ribbon cutting, attended by the development team and local officials, was held on February 17.

William Yahn, managing director for Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, said One Thousand Ocean is among “an elite group of successful condominium projects.” The company is not aware of any other new condominiums in South Florida currently having this degree of sales success.

A total of 52 residences include one- and two-story Beach Villas, and one-story Residences and Penthouses averaging approximately 4,000 square feet of interior space plus approximately 1,200 square feet of terraces. Prices are from $3 million to more than $15 million.
