Warrington, Cheshire, UK, July 25 2008 (PressReleasePoint)
MPP Global Solutions today announced its support of GO!VIEW, the joint venture between Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) and British Sky Broadcasting (Sky), which offers PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) owners in the UK and Ireland the opportunity to watch video on demand and on the move.
The GO!VIEW branded video download service launched in Beta form on the 8th July 2008 and is the first official PSP video download service anywhere in Europe. It allows millions of PSP owners to use their devices to house a personalised library of programmes to enjoy whenever and wherever they choose. Customers will be able to download Movies, Sports and top quality TV programmes directly to their PSP, via the PC.
As the payments and packaging partner for the service, MPP enables payments to be collected on a pay-per-view and subscription basis. eWallet services, micropayments, and free trialling capabilities combine to create a suite of options to support user adoption. The MPP eWallet provides consumers with easy repeat purchase at the click of a button whilst also providing a pre-pay credits system and a recurring payment facility to enable consumers to maintain subscriptions indefinitely. All payments are made via credit or debit card in multiple currencies.
Other features provided by MPP include a fully equipped support console which enables customer service representatives to easily manage customer enquiries,. Also supplied is an advanced Management Console from which administrators can retrieve instant snapshots of account statistics, account history, number of subscribers, as well providing the ability to download reports in database friendly formats for data mining and analysis.
"Naturally we are delighted to be working on this exciting project. The range of payment services provided by MPP gives GO!VIEW both functionality and flexibility in providing customers with an easy to use service PSP users can download from a rich selection of high quality entertainment based on the purchase model that best suits individual needs", commented Paul Johnson, CEO of MPP.
Griff Parry, Director of On Demand, BSkyB, adds: “MPP’s payment platform has allowed us to design the GO!VIEW service in a way which puts the needs of customers first. We have in place a wide range of payment models to offer ease of access across a number of content genres and customers groups, underpinned by robust reporting and evaluation tools.”
