MRIGlobal Sponsors Two Community Awards, Provides Technical Staff to Judge of Student Projects
(Kansas City, MO) March 14, 2014 – For the fourth consecutive year, MRIGlobal will support the Montgomery Science Fair, providing judges and sponsorship.
Organized by ScienceMONTGOMERY, the Montgomery Area Science Fair Association, a non-profit volunteer organization, the fair encourages and promotes interest in engineering, mathematics, and science for students in grades 6-12. The fair, which attracts hundreds of middle school and high school students from about 40 area schools, is held March 15 in Silver Spring, Md.
MRIGlobal sponsors two community awards in the senior and junior categories. Scientists from MRIGlobal’s Rockville and Frederick, Md., facilities will serve as judges, reviewing student projects in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Behavioral and Social Sciences.
“We are delighted to support this program, which gives us a chance to meet and interact with so many young scientists,” said Michael J. Ehret, Senior Vice President and Director of Research Operations for MRIGlobal. “Nurturing ingenuity and innovation is part of our mission.”
