Mrs Gursharan Kaur releases “The Magic of Awakening” - Book in 9 Languages across 45 cities

New Delhi, 10 September 2009: Mrs. Gursharan Kaur, today released the book “The Magic of Awakening” authored by Sirshree, founder Tej Gyan Foundation at the Habitat Centre, New Delhi. While releasing the English version, Mrs. Kaur said that the book has beautifully portrayed human being’s quest for life. “As we are caught up in our mundane task of life, we forget the real purpose of life,” Mrs. Kaur added.

The book authored by Sirshree is in the genre of body-mind & spirit and answers 111 questions on life and living. Edited by Krishna Iyer, Trustee Tej Gyan Foundation, the book was simultaneously released in nine languages across 45 cities.

“In this book every answer is intended to make you find yourself, know yourself and ultimately be yourself. The answers in this book are intended to lead you to a state of pure consciousness, the existential experience of being,” said Mr. Iyer.

The English, Hindi and Marathi editions have been published by Penguin Books India while the other editions have been published by regional publishers in Gujarati, Kanadda, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu and Malayalam.

Dr Prakash Kotwal, representative of the Delhi branch of Tej Gyan Foundation, said, ““Our intent is to release the same book on the same day in so many languages across multiple cities, so that, awakening of consciousness is truly enabled in India and the world. We are privileged that Smt Kaur released the English original in Delhi”.

Other cities where various celebrities released the book include Mumbai, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Chennai, Surat and Sydney. Noted film actor Suresh Oberoi and bhajan singer Anup Jalota released the Hindi and Marathi versions at Pune.

Book Summary

Sirshree’s spiritual quest, which began about 30 years ago, led him on a journey through various schools of thought and different practices of meditation.
