MSU to host director of agricultural experiment station association

The North Central Regional Association of Agricultural Experiment Station Directors has appointed Jeff Jacobsen as its executive director. Jacobson, the former dean of the Montana State University College of Agriculture, will work from Michigan State University’s campus as of March 1.

The executive director works to enhance and promote the NCRA within the region, the United States and internationally. Jacobsen also has served as a member of the Experiment Station Committee on Organization and Policy, with the Western Association of Agricultural Experiment Station Directors and in numerous other regional and national positions. He is a fellow of the American Society of Agronomy and the Soil Science Society of America.

The NCRA is composed of 12 prestigious institutions of higher learning with stellar records of achievement in research, teaching and outreach. It includes the agricultural experiment station directors at land grant universities throughout the Midwest.
