Muddy mayhem will soon embark on the town of Edgerton. Milton Family Recreation and the Edgerton Fire Protection District are hosting Edgerton's first annual 5K Mud Run and Obstacle Course to benefit the Edgerton Fire Protection District, and registration is now open.


Edgerton, Wisconsin, United States., March 12, 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) - Muddy mayhem will soon embark on the town of Edgerton. Milton Family Recreation and the Edgerton Fire Protection District are hosting Edgerton's first annual 5K Mud Run and Obstacle Course to benefit the Edgerton Fire Protection District, and registration is now open.

The race will be held at Racetrack Park, Edgerton WI on May 11th, 2013 - race waves start at 8am. The main Adult 5K Mud Run and Obstacle Course (registration starts at $40) will challenge the weekend warrior through seasoned athlete. The Kids Muddy Obstacle Course ($20 registration) is guaranteed for muddy fun.

Previous family-friendly race courses have included dredging through muddy trenches, scaling muddy hillsides, climbing rock quarries and over monster truck tires, some challenges in this race will be ones which have not been seen in our other races.

“These races are an amazing way for the community to do something fun and challenging while raising money for important organizations,” says Eric Stockman, founder of Milton Family Recreation. “Our focus is to maximize fund-raising efforts and create a great event.”

Post race activities include: food, drinks, music, and a huge post-mud party – it’s an entire day of family fun geared to raise $30,000 for local heroes.

Funds from Edgerton’s first annual 5K Mud Run and Obstacle Course will benefit the Edgerton Fire Protection District. Edgerton Fire Protection District proudly serves the City of Edgerton and surrounding rural areas with both fire and emergency medical services. The department's coverage extends into Rock, Dane, and Jefferson counties, which totals about 100 square miles. Coverage also includes 10 miles of Interstate 90. The total population of both the city and rural areas is roughly 15,000 people.
