Multi-Functional, Easy-to-Use Handheld Power Meter
Toronto, Canada - GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) recommends its multi-functional handheld power meter for use in the maintenance of telecommunications and CATV systems and in fiber optic test labs. It measures absolute power and relative loss of fiber optic cables. This power meter efficiently tests optical power over a wavelength range of 800nm to 1650nm and displays test results in mW, dB and dBm on its large LCD screen. The handheld design and it rugged design and resistance to dust and moisture make it ideally suited for field use.
GAO Comm's handheld power meter, model 08121, offers pre-calibrated wavelengths including 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, and 1550nm; more optional calibrated wavelengths are available. It features highly accurate testing, automatic identification of frequencies and efficient data storage. The portable power meter consumes little power due to its auto-off function, and it has a quick response time without requiring warm-up. It supports an optical power measurement range from -70dBm to 6dBm and an identification frequency range of 10Hz to 60kHz.
