On Thursday, July 10, the Sapienza will host the first edition of #MuSainfesta to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the MuSa Sapienza Project.

The free concert (open to both students and residents) will feature a series of performances and genres, ranging from classical music to jazz and ethnic songs to blues.

The event is sponsored by the Università Telematica Unitelma Sapienza.


MuSa - Musica alla Sapienza

MuSa (“Music at Sapienza”) is Sapienza’s most prominent music and entertainment organisation. It was established in 2006 and regularly presents a rich calendar of concerts and events.

Student orchestras, choirs and instrumental groups performing a vast range of musical genres hold concerts throughout the year at both formal and ceremonial occasions, inaugurations, conferences, seminars and other public events. The chamber groups regularly perform at seasonal concerts.

MuSA includes:

·      Classical MuSa - orchestra and chamber music devoted to a repertoire generally defined as ‘Classical’ (Director: Maestro Francesco Vizioli);

·      MuSa Jazz - bands and solo Jazz musicians performing both Afro-American and Italian repertoire, as well as covers of international pop songs (Director: Maestro Silverio Cortesi);

·      MuSa Choir - vocal groups peforming polyphonic and choral music (Directors: Prof. Paolo Camiz and Maestro Giorgio Monari).
