Unfortunately, violence against women is on the rise and this phenomenon must be opposed with all means, including art. After the MuSa concert celebrating the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,” on Tuesday, Sapienza will hold another event to raise awareness on this issue.
“Woman is Music” will present the relationship between women and art through the analysis of seminal works in literature, visual arts, dance and music. Participants include Marina Righetti, Emanuele Senici, Igina Tattoni, Paolo Maiorino, Gianni Pingue, Giulia Antonini, Giulia Mazzoni and Michele Vitiello. Moreover, Antonella Ferrari’s fashion exhibition entitled “Art and Fashion from the World: women as harbringers of peace” will be set up at the university for the entire day.
“Woman is Music” is an event organized by the “24 Frames” Lab of the Sapienza University Department of Art History and Performing Arts in collaboration with the Rome Restyle Association as part of the “On the Tip of the Woman” Initiative sponsored by the City of Rome.
