Music spreads crucial message for women, worldwide
The Feel Teal Club was especially designed for the general public & Artists of every industry.
The FEEL TEAL CLUB follows the heels of its successful 2009 campaign,"Feel teal and dance again". Like its predecessor, the Feel Teal Club is committed to promoting awareness for Ovarian cancer, and with the "new look", a new strategy to do this 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year!
Sydney, Australia-
April 12th, 2010
Founder/Creator Debbie Stevens is joined by others to continue the quest of raising awareness for Ovarian cancer, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, with the focus on the need for an early diagnostic screening test which will save more lives of the women & girls around the globe.
The newly-formed, community-based website & forum, endeavors to serve all those who join, including FREE promotion & advertising resources for its artist members.
As a Club, members are all contributing to a common purpose, supporting the Community, while supporting each other.
The club also offers everyone equal opportunity to share their "personal stories" & "experiences" with Cancer, while enjoying the benefits of a wonderful community spirit!
Each member is invited to actively participate within the safe & friendly environment making the most of all available resources.
The club's founding creator, Debbie Stevens; again leads the fight for women, and is once more joined by many previous fellow-supporters-
The crew from Ion’s Odyssey; Lance Toohey (lyricist/poet),his partner Michelle Australian Pop/Rock Artist; Anthony Snape, Comedian/Writer; Shelly Ryan,editor/ staff members from Flip Side To Music and US Rock band, Electric Sandbox.
With most cases of ovarian cancer still not diagnosed until in its later stages, finding this test is absolutely crucial, as in Australia alone, the survival rate improves greatly 85-90 percent if the cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, before it has spread. Only 15‑20 percent of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed in the early stages.
Approximately 75 percent of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage after the cancer has
spread beyond the ovaries.Ovarian cancer is the most fatal gynaecological malignancy.
In Australia, one woman dies every 10 hours from this disease.
There are endless opportunities for the Artist as the club's concept was designed with the purpose of expansion, allowing room for both advertising talent AND the awareness message. One clear example is the use of You tube, where members/artists share their videos to the wider public, which in turn are marketed across the internet, and many social networks.
