Nothing increases people's interest in a part of the world like the rumor of buried treasure. That is exactly what is happening to one part of the Antarctica.
People from all over the world have heard a slight rumor that there could be a mysterious hidden treasure at the bottom of the ocean. Many individuals are unable to travel to this part of Antarctica, so they are forced to take part in the only mode of transportation that will get them there – an Antarctica cruise.
"The Antarctica cruise has been one of our most popular cruises due to its unique nature", said the owner and operator of the cruise company. "However, we recently saw an increase in interest in this cruise. The people who were inquiring were all deep sea divers. It was rather unusual."
It appears as if numerous deep sea divers have heard the rumor that there could be a hidden treasure at the bottom of the ocean. They are trying to find a way to get to the Antarctica area. This will give them access to the area where the treasure may be.
"A mysterious and anonymous poster posted on a favorite deep sea diving message board", said one of the deep sea divers. "It had the exact location of where a mysterious hidden treasure is supposed to be. He said it wasn't for the faint of heart, but it could be well worth it to find it."
The post was up for less than an hour when the calls started coming in to the Antarctica cruise line. The booking agent saw a 40% increase in calls requesting information on this cruise.
"I had never seen anything like it", said the booking agent. "People love this cruise, but the calls all asked about what ports we'd be docking at, if there'd be a chance to dive, and other weird questions. It was then that I started doing some research."
The cruise line discovered that people were interested in this due to the hidden treasure legend. They were booking individuals on the regular cruise, but decided to plan a treasure hunting Antarctica cruise to accommodate the deep sea divers.
"We have a special cruise that will give people access to the ports and areas that they want to go to", said the cruise director. "People will love it and they will be able to hunt for the treasure. Now, whether it is real or not is another question, but at least everyone is having fun!"
