The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commisioners is hosting the Renewable Energy Retreat, a two-day school and study tour for State commissioners and commission staff at The Mission Inn in Riverside, Calif., Oct. 7-8, 2010.

The day-long school on Thursday will educate participants on integration of utility-scale renewable energy and the challenges associated with variable generation resources. On Friday, participants will receive hands-on experience as they visit 3-4 renewable energy sites in Southern California. Transportation and meals will be provided.

NARUC is offering a limited number of Reimbursement Authorizations For Travel (RAFTs) to support Commissions' participation, and has also agreed to underwrite the tuition expenses of this program - and several others being offered in the next six months - under our State Electricity Regulators Capacity Assistance and Training (SERCAT) activities.

Please contact Julie Taylor atjtaylor@naruc.orgto register for the activity and request travel support.
