National Bank Financial Group collects $400,000 for Breakfast Clubs of Canada and Club des petits déjeuners du Québec
Montreal, 11 March 2010 -
National Bank Financial Group’s financing campaign to benefit Breakfast Clubs of Canada andClub des petits déjeuners du Québechas now wrapped up and once again, its results have exceeded expectations. The sale of colourful luggage tags designed especially for the Clubs and a corporate donation from the Financial Group, generated an impressive $400,000. This success will allow the two organisations to provide nutritious in-school breakfasts to thousands of young children.

Last year, thanks to the donations collected and its many partners,Club des petits déjeuners du Québecand its 3,500 volunteers served no less than 2.1 million breakfasts to some 15,000 children in 247 schools across the province. Elsewhere in Canada, more than 200,000 children were able to start the day on a full stomach and with a clear mind thanks to Breakfast Clubs of Canada.
