JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The National Biodiesel Board recently welcomed two new organizations into its membership - renewable energy consultants, EcoEngineers, and trucking company, Eagle Transport Corp. These two organizations bring more than 55 years of experience in the industry and highlight the diverse membership of the National Biodiesel Board.

“I’m very excited to have both EcoEngineers and Eagle Transport Corp. join our membership,” said Brad Shimmens. “These two unique companies help showcase biodiesel’s wide impact, from transportation to federal policy and beyond. NBB and our members will benefit from these new partnerships, and we look forward to working closely together to promote America’s Advanced Biofuel from coast to coast.”

EcoEngineers is a renewable energy consulting firm that has been working hard to help build a clean energy economy since 2009. Producers of biodiesel and more count on EcoEngineers for in-depth expertise in auditing, renewable energy consulting, and compliance management to help optimize production and protect their investment.

Eagle Transport started with four trucks in 1969, and has seen steady growth each year. With over 440 power units and 23 terminals located throughout the eastern United States, Eagle has secured itself as a leader in transportation. Joining NBB furthers Eagle’s goal of constantly planning for the future by developing ways to improve the company and its services.

Made from an increasingly diverse mix of resources such as recycled cooking oil, soybean oil and animal fats, biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning diesel replacement that can be used in existing diesel engines without modification. It is the nation’s first domestically produced, commercially available advanced biofuel. NBB is the U.S. trade association representing the entire biodiesel value chain, including producers, feedstock suppliers, and fuel distributors, as well as the U.S. renewable diesel industry. NBB is celebrating its 25th year as an organization in 2018.
