Jersey Telecom updates its existing suite of EPiServer websites: Jersey Telecom, www.jerseytelecom.com , and Wave Telecom, www.wavetelecom.com, with new designs and improved functionality.

Following a competitive tendering process, Jersey Telecom appointed Netcel, www.netcel.com, as its chosen EPiServer partner. Specialists in EPiServer solutions, Netcel revamped the EPiServer websites with a refreshed look and feel, and improved customer navigation. As a committed user of EPiServer, Jersey Telecom sought to fully maximise their web offering by improving the performance of the EPiServer application for their needs. An increase in visitors and average visit duration to both Jersey Telecom and Wave Telecom over 12months will be one measure of the success of the project. Netcel worked in partnership with Jersey Telecom to ensure these key requirements would be achieved as a result of the redevelopments.

Helen Knight, Internet Channel Manager at Jersey Telecom said, ‘Netcel has been a pleasure to work with. The team worked really hard to deliver the sites within extremely tight timescales. Our brand guidelines were applied perfectly to the new designs and the new navigation is both intuitive and user friendly. The sites are now a great foundation upon which we can build further online services’.

Netcel created a new Information Architecture to improve the user experience of navigating the site and finding the required information. New site designs were created to further improve usability and support the improved navigation. Designs reflected the branding of the individual sites in their use of colour and in the clear definition between the personal and business sections of each business. Jersey Telecom and Wave Telecom sought to reflect the local community of Jersey and Guernsey respectively, with the use of regional imagery within the site. The new sites aim to both retain customers and win new ones in the Channel Islands. Content has been rationalised and now offers clearer, stronger material that is much easier and simpler to access.

Tim Parfitt, MD at Netcel commented, ‘We are delighted to have been appointed by Jersey Telecom and have enjoyed working in partnership with their digital marketing team on these websites. We are extremely pleased with the results and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with the Jersey Telecom team.’
