A new children's book, 'Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig', has been released just in time for the holidays. The book is available at Amazon.com at a discounted price of $12.50.

Boston, MA, December 2008 - Author David Ira Rottenberg has joined forces with illustrator, Lesley C. Anderson to create an engaging tale of perseverance through the eyes of two endearing pigs - not-so-graceful Gwendolyn, and clumsy football hopeful Omar. The pair find themselves in an unlikely situation when the foreboding Russian ballet teacher, Natasha Levertov, self-proclaimed "greatest teacher of dance in 'ze vorld'" catches them peering in the window of her ballet studio one afternoon.

'Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig' has been a success among ballet companies and bookstores, entertaining both boys and girls who have explored the adventures contained within its pages. While the cover suggests a book appropriate for young ballerinas, upon opening the book, the reader finds that aspiring sports players can also relate. The story is appropriate for children up to age 8, and many adults have chuckled while reading Natasha's Russian accent and seeing the colorful, charming illustrations.

'Gwendolyn, the Graceful Pig' has received raves not only from customers but from reviewers as well. DancerUniverse.com editor Wendy Garofoli writes, "This cute story can help inspire both boys and girls to get into dance class, and it gives accolades to the teachers themselves, whose dedication is often overlooked."

The 40 page, full color, hardcover book with dust jacket is available online and in bookstores for $15.95.
