Big Telescopes, Big Science is a brand new exhibition which will be unveiled in February.
The exhibit, funded by the STFC Science in Society programme, has hands-on activities showing how telescopes work and how many smaller telescopes can work together to act as one large telescope.
Featuring some of the world’s most exciting scientific collaborations, the exhibit tells the story of the early days of work on combining telescopes around Jodrell Bank right through to today’s massive arrays of telescopes spread across countries, continents and even out in space.
The centre will also be running family science shows as part of the half term activities.
Science show times: 11.30, 12.30, 2.30 3.30 running Monday 17th to Friday 21st February
