New IDC MarketScape Shows the Top Project Success Factor for Buyers is Nontechnical

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. January 15, 2015 – International Data Corporation (IDC) has released a new MarketScape report profiling the leading vendors participating in the worldwide datacenter transformation consulting and implementation market. A significant component of this evaluation is the inclusion of buyers' perceptions of both the key characteristics and the capabilities of these providers.

The study, IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Datacenter Transformation Consulting and Implementation Services 2014 Vendor Assessment (IDC #252910), evaluates the following nine vendors – Accenture, Capgemini, Cisco, HCL, HP, IBM, PwC, Unisys, and Wipro.

The IDC MarketScape methodology placed Accenture, HCL, and IBM in the "Leaders" category.

Accenture's presence of local offices and local resources and its ability to deliver both industry and technical insights and competence related to datacenter transformation rated them highly among buyers. Buyers rated HCL very highly for integrating its ability to resolve problems/issues related to customer service as well as its ability to leverage resources globally and to optimize the ratio of onshore/offshore efforts on a project. IBM was rated highly among buyers for all aspects of its current offering capabilities, as well as its pricing models.
