Brisbane, Queensland, Australia., January 31, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) -

A new consumer help web site is to be released.  The web site aims to help consumers that are having difficulties obtaining a resolution from a company or business where they have purchased products or services. The website aims to make businesses aware of what the issue is whilst incentivising a resolution by handing an unresolved issue back to social media for mass distribution.

Shamebook is a social media linked web site.  The web site has social media pages on facebook, twitter, google plus and linkedin. A social media user is able to follow a page of their choice and receive shamebook news and updates via their social media news feed. Each page including the published stories can be shared easily to any social media site on the planet over three hundred in total. This way a user can post their story to any social media of their choice. The story can then be passed on with no limits via any social media user by the user clicking the like button or similar creating a path for mass distribution. This service is provided free of charge.

Today companies are accountable to shareholders, whilest the accountability to their consumers is diminishing at an exponential rate.  Shamebook aims to become a force where through mass social media distribution of unresolved issues, companies and businesses realise that bad news can spread extremely quickly.  With this type of force shamebook aims to balance the equation.  Shamebook believes that companies and organisations should be just as accountable to the consumer as they are to the shareholder.

The Shamebook developers have settled on the term Social Media Publishing to describe how shamebook functions.  Social media publishing is where social media users submit stories to a website that is dedicated to a particular interest.  The editor working for the website then publishes the stories. Once a story is published it is handed back to social media for distribution.  Shamebook claims that they are operating on the cutting edge of this brave new world of publishing.

Shamebook does not have a us and them policy.  The policy is simply to to help the consumer and to create a environment where companies and businesses have to be socially and morally responsible to be successful.   Social media for many people is the communication medium of choice and is becoming the same for many others on a daily basis. Given the power of social media, and the ability for social media to mass distribute information directly to the consumers shamebook believes that this achievement is possible.

The http://www.shamebook.org web site is operational, but in a pre launch state.  The launch date has been set for February the 6th 2012. The menus and the main parts of the web site can now be viewed with a final unveiling on launch date. By using the site as is, currently a user can see and feel exactly how the web site will work.  The developers of the web site will be constantly working to improve the site as new needs arise, short comings are highlighted or new ideas are formulated.
