New Universal Charger Incorporates Sunlight to Generate Clean, Green Power

Revolve's flagship product, the χeMini universal AC charger, features an exclusive technology called Light Assisted Power™ that uses sunlight to generate clean energy.

In addition to using an integrated retractable AC power plug and a state-of-the-art battery backup system, the χeMini can also create and store energy by being placed in direct sunlight. The χeMini absorbs sunlight through glass-encapsulated high-efficiency cells, which ensures many more years of use than lower-efficiency cells that are plastic encapsulation. And Revolve uses the term "Light Assisted Power™" rather than simply "solar power" because there's much more to the χeMini. "You can't control the weather," says Revolve's executive vice president and co-founder, Todd Metlen. "A few days of foggy or cloudy conditions can render traditional solar-powered devices useless. We’re providing a comprehensive charging solution for your small electronic devices with many ways to power your devices. One of those ways is sunlight."

Light Assisted Power™ is just one of a number of features that make the χeMini the world's most eco-friendly portable power source. The housing for the charger is made of a proprietary wood-plastic composite that combines bamboo sawdust waste with recycled ABS plastic, making for a stronger, lighter product and a more energy-efficient manufacturing process.
