ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 18 -- As part of its on-going strategy to enable photo-specialty retailers to offer premium photo products, Eastman Kodak Company, (NYSE:EK) today released KODAK Creative Production Software (CPS) V5.0. This system-agnostic workflow software provides an on-ramp to offering premium products, from photo books, postcards and two sided-cards to personalized calendars and collages. The software is available globally, in 11 languages.

Enhancements in KODAK CPS V5.0 revolve around new ways consumers capture and share their photos. Customers can import photos directly from FACEBOOK, which now represents the largest photo-sharing site on the Internet (15 billion). KODAK CPS V5.0 also allows customers to capture stills from video for individual printing with Video Snapshots. With the addition of KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Processing and automatic red-eye correction, KODAK CPS V5.0 ensures all these photos have fewer dark shadows, more vibrant colors and richer detail.  Customers can also do more with their photos, particularly around calendars, as the software allows for additional customization and personalization of calendars.

Like earlier versions, KODAK CPS V5.0 works with most input and output systems and can be installed on WINDOWS OS computers by photo-specialty retailers, leveraging current systems, including AgX mini-labs; KODAK Adaptive Picture Exchange (APEX); thermal, including the new KODAK D4000 Duplex Thermal Photo Printer, inkjet and electrophotographic printers, including KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Press; and WINDOWS OS System Printers (license dependent).
