A new website is dedicated to providing information to individuals on the treatment of health problems such as ADHD with holistic remedies such as meditation. Other health problems that have responded well with treatment such as meditation are high blood pressure, heart disease and stress.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (or ADHD) is a developmental disorder that affects about 3 - 5% of American children. Symptoms include impulsiveness, inattention and hyperactivity to the point where it interferes with learning. ADHD occurs twice as much in boys as in girls. ADHD is generally a chronic disorder with 10 to 40% of diagnosed individuals continuing with the problem into adulthood.

The treatment of ADHD usually involves medications which means that children as young as seven are given drugs that have potentially adverse side effects. This type of treatment understandably is very controversial.

As a result, much research has been done involving more benign treatments. One promising form of treatment is meditation (that’s meditation with a T not a C).

For more information on the effects of meditation on ADHD visit the website at www.mindhearthhealth.com.
