Atago Company has added a new version of their RX-5000 digital benchtop refractometer for laboratory research and testing which requires extreme accuracy and precision. Carnation, WA, March 10, 2010 – The successful line of digital benchtop digital refractometers by Atago Company LTD has added a new product to its RX series, and it is being carried by National Microscope Exchange. The newly designed ATAGO RX-5000 digital refractometer has replaced the popular older style RX-5000 instrument, which was a mainstay of the company for years. Atago Company is one of the most respected world leaders in manufacture of refractometer products according to National Microscope Exchange President Rowland Brasch.

“The newly designed RX-5000 digital benchtop refractometer continues on in the tradition of excellent ATAGO products which have made it a world leader in refractometery,” said Brasch. “The new ATAGO-RX-5000 incorporates the accuracy and ease of use found in the older style RX-5000s, but adds a newer, lighter body design which mirrors the RX-5000 alpha.”

The new RX-5000 digital benchtop refractometer has accuracy readings of +/- 0.03% brix and +/- .00004 for refractive index, and has the capability to add five user’s custom scales, and display 30 past measurements, as compared with 5 for the older style RX-5000. Improvements also include the ability to connect to a waterbath via nozzles, instead of using a built-in thermo module. The RX-5000 is also designed for use with a computer by way of its USB port.
