WAKEFIELD, Mass., August 26, 2014 – Comverse (Nasdaq: CNSI), a global leader in telecom and enterprise business enablement, today announced that Nextel Peru, a subsidiary of Entel, the largest Chilean telecommunications company and a leading regional provider of mobile, data and IT services, has selected Comverse for a broad range of digital services and broadband solutions for consumers and enterprises, complemented by managed services.
Comverse MultiVAS, which replaced a legacy competitor solution at Nextel Peru, unifies next-generation voicemail, call completion, text (SMS) & multimedia (MMS) messaging and USSD services. It will significantly reduce costs, simplifying service operation, and position Nextel to evolve and enhance voice and messaging to a digital experience – with a smooth evolution path to RCS and other advanced digital lifestyle services. The Comverse Policy Engine will further strengthen Nextel Peru’s competitive position by enabling it to offer deploy innovative data plans for the Digital Lifestyle services.
Comverse managed services experts will provide guidance and leading-edge skills to help ensure that Nextel meets their operational and business objectives.
