Nikon Introduces New Laser Rangefinder "Laser 1000A S"

Nikon Vision Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, is pleased to present the Laser 1000A S, a laser rangefinder with an innovative golf mode. Since the first Nikon laser rangefinders were released in 1999, they have been very popular with a wide variety of users, from golfers to hunters.
As well as actual distance, height and horizontal distance, the Laser 1000A S displays slope-adjusted distance (horizontal distance ± height) in the viewfinder. It is useful for users to easily understand the distance to the target in a hilly environment.

Key Features
- Measurement range: 10–915 m/11–1,000 yd.
- Wider field of view (7.5 degrees)
- Active Brightness Control Viewfinder for easy, clear viewing: orange LED is automatically turned on when it is used in darker situations and brightness of the LED is adjusted according to the surroundings.
- Improved light transmittance for a brighter field of view
- Larger ocular for easy viewing (18 mm)
- Actual distance, horizontal distances, height and slope-adjusted distance (horizontal distance ± height) can be measured easily.
- The four display modes—actual distance and height mode, horizontal distance and height mode, golf mode, actual distance mode—are provided in the internal display. The newly featured golf mode provides slope-adjusted distance (horizontal distance ± height), enabling the user to confidently determine how to approach a hilly course.
- Target Priority Switch System offers two measurement modes: first target priority mode and distant target priority mode
- High-quality 6x monocular with multilayer coating for bright, clear images
- High-eyepoint design allows easy viewing, even for eyeglass wearers.
- With the power button held down, Laser 1000A S is capable of distancing different targets in succession.
- Waterproof (up to 1 meter for 10 minutes), but not for underwater usage; the battery chamber is water resistant
