Nirvaha CEO Mr. Ramesh Parameswaran Joins S7 Software’s Board of Directors.

S7 Software today announced the appointment of Mr. Ramesh Parameswaran to its Board of Directors; he will be joining the board with immediate affect. Ramesh currently heads Nirvaha Inc, a US based provider of on-demand solutions for small and mid-size organizations.

Making the announcement, Mr. Manjunath Gowda, CEO of S7 Software said “In addition to being an entrepreneur and a corporate executive, Ramesh is experienced in meeting the challenges offered in the area of Interoperability and migration services. As we grow and evolve, his expertise would be tremendously valuable and welcomed”.

My experience of having “been-there, seen-all” helps me relate to similar challenges faced by S7 Software”.

Mr. Ramesh founded Nirvaha after an extensive career both as an entrepreneur and as a corporate executive. During his 7 years at Microsoft held several leadership roles for Windows and Internet Explorer. He led the product management initiatives for Windows networking and interoperability for the first few releases of Windows NT, focusing on Windows VPN, Remote Access & Routing, and Windows Unix interoperability. He also led engineering groups and product initiatives for Microsoft’s Internet developer platform and cross platform Internet Explorer during the Sun Java platform and Netscape browser “wars”. At Microsoft, Ramesh was one of the youngest people to hold a general management role.

He left Microsoft to found AskMe Corporation which built a consumer web service that had millions of visitors each month and was listed in the top 100 web sites in the world. During the .com bust, he initiated the transformation of the consumer business to an enterprise knowledge sharing software business eventually leading to the sale of the company. Ramesh held the roles of CEO and Vice president of Finance.

Ramesh has an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago and is a computer science graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
