NKSJ Holdings, Inc. has been given the CSR rating of “Prime” status by German CSR rating agency Oekom Research AG in its biannual review of corporate sustainability activities.

Tokyo, Japan., February 12, 2013 - (PressReleasePoint) -NKSJ Holdings, Inc. (President: Kengo Sakurada) has been given the CSR rating of “Prime” status by German CSR rating agency Oekom Research AG (“Oekom”) in its biannual review of corporate sustainability activities.

 
1. Outline of Oekom’s CSR ratings
 
Oekom is a global rating agency that aims to promote sustainable investments. It appraises the achievements of companies using unique evaluation standards based on social and environmental perspectives. It announces ratings biannually.
 
The “Prime” rating is awarded to companies that are especially highly assessed by Oekom’s evaluation standards.
 
2. The recent rating
 
Oekom highly praised NKSJ Holding’s environmental management efforts, such as their initiatives and disclosure on CO2 emissions, climate change, and the environmental efficiency with which they use paper and other materials. Their Group will continue actively pursuing initiatives to address environmental issues and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society.
