Wine Gives Announces Online Wine Sale of PengWine to raise money for The San Francisco Food Bank

June 24, 2008 – Woodinville, WA – PengWine announced today that it will be donating to the San Francisco organization Wine Gives who is organizing a 5-day online wine sale to benefit The San Francisco Food Bank, beginning Saturday, June 21 through Wednesday, June 25.

PengWine, among other wineries participating in the will donate $1.00 per bottle sold at www.thewinespies.com directly to The San Francisco Food Bank. Wine Gives does not accept any fees for its service and 100% of the funds raised go directly to the charities it supports. Co-founder and Global Operations Manager, Chris Milliken said, “I’m glad to be supporting such a great organization. And with the availability of PengWine online, we can make our philanthropic mission a greater reality. We already support the Chilean non-profit VE Global who helps underprivileged children in Santiago. With Wine Spies we’re happy to support a quality US-based non-profit too.”

About The San Francisco Food Bank
The San Francisco Food Bank collects donated food from growers, manufacturers and grocers, then distributes it to people in need through food pantries, soup kitchens, child care centers, homeless shelters, senior centers and other human service agencies with meal programs. The San Francisco Food Bank will distribute 31 million pounds of food this year to hungry people in San Francisco.
