OfficeRecovery.com announces release of data recovery programs for SharePoint server: Document Recovery for SharePoint and Recovery for SharePoint.

An integral part of a well thought out SharePoint disaster recovery plan, the two products complement each other in first bringing back user documents, then helping in rebuilding the whole SharePoint environment.

Document Recovery for SharePoint retrieves documents and files from corrupted SharePoint databases. This reduces business downtime due to unavailability of user documents stored in SharePoint.

After salvaging the documents, Recovery for SharePoint can be applied. This recovery tool processes damaged database and saves recovered data into XML files that can be implemented into a new SharePoint database.

The utilities do not rely on pre-existing backups. Instead, they use the corrupted database as the source of recovered data, bringing back items in the state they were immediately at the point of disaster.

"Besides the traditional application of post-mortem retrieval of information directly from the failed databases in enterprise IT environment, Document Recovery for SharePoint also has valuable applications in computer forensics and e-discovery," says Emil Sildos, Recoveronix CEO.

Both utilities support SharePoint and Office SharePoint version 2007 (x64 and x86), including Service Packs 1 and 2.

Recovery for SharePoint is priced at US $399 for a standard license. The license allows one installation of the product and use for one server. Other types of licenses are Enterprise, allowing two servers, and 1-Year Service, a special license for companies providing data recovery services.
