Nominations Open for Lifetime Leadership Awards
People who know worthy nominees for the Building Efficiency Lifetime Leadership (BELL) award are encouraged to visit http://bit.ly/BELLdoc to review the nomination criteria and download the award nomination form.
This award is designed to recognize a long-term leader -- someone who was a pioneer -- in energy efficiency or renewable energy.

This Lifetime Leadership award is sponsored by Johnson Controls, Inc. and is given in recognition of outstanding and long-term individual leadership in pursuing, promoting or implementing energy efficiency and/or renewable energy projects or efforts. The Building Efficiency Lifetime Leadership awards are presented during the Johnson ControlsGreen Tie Affair, held in conjunction with the annualGreenbuild Conference. The 2009 event will be held the evening of November 11, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. The final award recipients will be selected based on demonstrated leadership over many years in one or more of the following categories:
- Energy Efficiency in Buildings
- Energy Policy Development/Advocacy
- Energy Efficient Product Development/ Deployment
- Renewable Energy
- Leadership in Energy Efficiency Communications
The nomination deadline for the 2009 Building Efficiency Lifetime Leadership award isAugust 31, 2009.Nominations are open to anyone and will be judged on the merits of details included on the nomination form. Final selections will be made by a Johnson Controls Awards Committee, which will include Johnson Controls executive leadership and well-known energy efficiency and renewable energy leaders from outside of the company.
